    Stephanie Urchick is a member of the Rotary Club of McMurray, Pennsylvania, USA. She will serve RI as president in 2024–25. She has been an RI director and Rotary Foundation trustee. She has served RI in numerous capacities, including as training leader, regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, and RI president's representative. In addition, Stephanie was a representative and member-at-large to three sessions of the Council on Legislation.

    Ann-Britt Åsebol is a member of Falun Kopparvägen Rotary Club, Sweden, Trustee 2024–2028 for The Rotary Foundation, RI president’s representative, and regional Rotary International membership coordinator. Åsebol also served as RI director and as vice chair or chair of several RI committees, including the Rotary Peace Centers Committee, 2021 RI Virtual Convention Committee, Constitution and Bylaws Committee, and Joint Young Leaders and Alumni Engagement Committee.

    Petra Sörling is one of Sweden's most powerful sports leaders. She is the first ever female president of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Petra Sörling is also a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Swedish Olympic Committee (SOK) and Honorary President of the Swedish Table Tennis Federation. She holds several senior positions in international sports-related organisations such as the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

  • Dan Smith

    Dan Smith is the Director of the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI). He served four years in the UN Peacebuilding Fund Advisory Group, two as Chair (2010–2011). He was part-time Professor of Peace and Conflict at the University of Manchester from 2014 to 2017. Before taking up his post at SIPRI, he was Secretary General of the London-based peacebuilding NGO, International Alert (2003–2015) and Director of the International Peace Research Institute, Oslo (1993–2001).

  • Ulf Bingsgård

    Ulf Bingsgård is member of Rotary Malmö-Öresund Satellite Rosengård and was District Governor in District 2390 and served both in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023. Last Rotary year, he served as Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator in Zone 17/Region 18 and is the Endowment/Major Gifts Adviser in Zone 17/Region 18 and Chair of the organizing committee for Rotary Action Summit Malmö 2024.

  • Sanj Srikanthan

    Sanj Srikanthan is CEO at the international disaster relief charity ShelterBox, Rotary International’s partner in disaster relief. Sanj is a globally recognised leader on humanitarian issues and disaster response. He’s served as ShelterBox’s chief executive for four and a half years, previously working for the International Rescue Committee for nearly 10 years. He has worked in a wide range of emergency situations, including Haiti earthquakes, an Ebola outbreak and complicated conflicts like northern Syria and South Sudan.

He also received his Master’s in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University in 2015. He is Head of Emergency Operations (HEOps) at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.

    Rasmus Peter Egeskjold is a Rotary International Staff member specializing in membership and club development on district and club levels. Rasmus is also a strategic advisor to both clubs and districts regarding their promotion and implementation of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Rasmus is also a member of the Copenhagen Rotary Club and has served as a club secretary and membership chair.

  • Carina Nilsson

    Carina Nilsson has been President of the Malmö City Council since October 2018 and is the first woman to hold this position. Between 2008 and 2018, she was the Deputy Mayor and the chairman of the municipal welfare, healthcare, and social services board.

    Ingrid Grandum Berget, PDG, is a member of RC Brevik, district 2290, Norway. She is the team leader for the Peace Major Gifts Initiative Advisors and a member of the planning committee for the Presidential Conference “Healing a Divided World” in Istanbul, 20th-22nd of February 2025. She has held several coordinator/advisor positions and is presently serving as End Polio Now Coordinator.

    Soffía Gisladóttir was a DG for District 1360, Iceland, 2020–2021. Currently, she serves as the ARC, as an Action Plan Champion, and as the Promoter for the 2025 Rotary Convention in Calgary for Zone 18.

  • Emma Jangö

    Emma Jangö is the Head of Operation for Hej främling, meaning Hi Stranger, a Swedish NGO that has worked for the rights to belong and health for all. Hej främling has received the European Citizen’s Price from the European Parliament and was awarded Årets peppare by Generation Pep 2024. Hej främling provides meetings between strangers with common interests at different health-boosting activities.

    Christine Büring is a member of the Rotary Club of Altenburg, Germany. She was Governor in 2016–2017 in District 1950 Franconia/Thuringia and a Training Leader for the International Assembly and GETS/GNTS. Elected as Rotary International Director 2025–27 and will represent Germany, Switzerland, and Lichtenstein with around 66.000 Rotarians in 18 Districts.

  • Mingaile Scherer

    Mingaile Scherer serves as Rotary Coordinator for Zone 18. She is the founder of the first Rotary e- club in District 1462 and co founded the Lituanica International Rotary Club. As Chairwoman of the Committee for Rotaract and RYLA, Mingaile has significantly contributed to youth leadership. Moreover, as a District Rotaract Representative, she co-founded a Rotaract club over a decade ago. By serving in various positions in the District and Zone 18, she has helped to start new Rotary and Rotaract clubs and significantly increased membership in various clubs.

She can be contacted regarding all issues related to club and district development in English, Finnish, German and Scandinavian languages.

  • Shahin Huseynov

    Shahin Huseynov is a Team Lead for Disease Control and Elimination in WHO Regional Office for Europe in Copenhagen, Denmark. As a regional focal point for polio, he has been collaborating with RI within GPEI and bilaterally, including at a country level.

  • Serge Stroobants

    Serge Stroobants, Institute for Economics and Peace, Director for Europe and the MENA Region. Rotary International and the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) are sharing their common fundamental interest in peace through a long-lasting strategic partnership. The Institute for Economics and Peace is an independent global think tank headquartered in Sydney, Australia, measuring and quantifying peace, and producing research and training at the intersection between business, economics and peace. Its systemic definition and concept of positive peace, which represents the institutions, structures and attitudes necessary to a sustained peaceful society, are at the heart of the Rotary-IEP partnership with an online Rotary Positive Peace Academy and Rotary Positive Peace activators trained and supported in almost all parts of the Globe.

  • Alice Akhlaghi

    Alice Akhlaghi received a classical bachelor's degree from the Malmö Academy of Music (classical singing) with singing teachers Britta Johansson and Maria Streijffert. She now works as a doctor in Lund, where she does her general practice. In 2024, she received the Uno Ebrelius singing scholarship.

  • David Persson

    David Persson has spent the last 15 years charming and entertaining audiences from Malmö in the south to Kiruna in the north. David is one of Sweden’s most employed magicians. 

    David won the Grand Prix during the Swedish Magic Championships in 2012 and became the Swedish champion in parlor magic in 2018. In addition, he has started a collaboration with the children's hospitals in Lund and Malmö to create a magic and a magic school for the children to help them escape from their everyday lives at the hospitals.

    Simon Böös is known for getting the party started when he is singing and playing. Simon was the house band for two years during the Live-show Rotary Wednesday Night Live in Rotary District 2390.
